Suit of Dreams

Hello you lovely lot!

Autumn is now fully upon us and what better way to show it off than with a mustard yellow suit of dreams!

When I stumbled across this beauty in Topshop the other week (payday to be precise – of course) I thought I’d died and gone to clothes heaven (too much?).

I am obsessed with suits and have always wanted one of my own, but for some unbeknown reason to me I hadn’t ever taken the plunge. I love a co-ord because you can style the pieces together or in various ways as separate pieces, so you end up getting at least three different outfits for the price of one. Well, this is what I say to make me feel better about spending all my money on clothes on the first day of the month and eating cheese & pickle sandwiches for lunch for the rest of the month. But seriously, a suit or a co-ord is really worth the money as you’re basically getting two extra outfits (at least) for free! If you were mulling it over, I hope that my enabler self has persuaded you to go get that suit! You won’t regret it.

Other than the colour, which is one of my favourite shades, I love the raw edges which contrast with the usual clean lines of a tailored suit. It adds a little more interest to the look which is always a plus in my eyes. Because of the oversized fit, I decided to pair it with my Dune heeled sock boots for added height and a tight poloneck.  I have also paired this with a graphic tee which looks equally great and adds more of a laid-back feel to the ensemble. I then completed the look with my trusty bakerboy cap – a style I’ve worn for years now. That and a beret seem to be the only hats that I find actually fits my small-ish head and suit a fringe. So much so that I’ve got about 8 berets now… someone stop me!JACKET & TROUSERS – TOPSHOP, BOOTS – DUNE, JUMPER – ZARA (old), HAT – H&M (black in store)

Autumn is a favourite season of mine in terms of style because you can still show off your outfit without freezing to death or covering it up with layers of coats, scarves and hats. However, with winter firmly on its tail I have decided that with next month’s payday to get myself a Jakke coat. Eeeee! I’ve tried a few on in Topshop and absolutely love the fit of them and the designs are brilliant. I know that I want one that stands out and will get a few side eyes for both good and bad reasons (gotta love a crazy man repeller item), but picking just the one is going to be super difficult.

Have you guys got any key pieces you are currently eyeing up for winter?

Same as Tasmine above – how have I never stumbled across your blog before?! Your style is so dreamy, especially this duo. I’ve had my eye on the Poundland Version, from Pretty Little Thing, for quite some time, and I think this blog post has pushed me to purchase it. I’m sure it won’t look as suave but I’m willing to take the risk!

Anyway, can’t wait to see more of your posts! Gonna start following your blog on Bloglovin now 🙂
